Woody gets kicked out of the forest for tormenting an Influencer camper Kyler (Ras-Samuel Weld A'Abzgi) until he can redeem himself. Kyler had brought his entire posse to the forest to show his Influencers that he could survive in the jungle. But Kyler was too loud and made Woody drop his pizza from the tree. Kyler aimed to bring more of his 8 million followers to the forest, which alarmed Woody. Woody destroys Kyler's camp. Ranger Walters summons Woody and says that Woody should learn to deal with these situations by working with the other animals who share the forest. Walters says that Woody's way causes more damage than those Influencers would have ever had. Walters says that all the other animals have signed a petition to kick Woody out till he learns about teamwork.Woody (Eric Bauza) decides that he can redeem himself by learning about teamwork in the nearby Camp Woo Hoo. After arriving, an escaped convict named Buzz Buzzard (Kevin Michael Richardson) arrives shortly and then poses as the chef of rival Camp Hoo Rah, to rob a hidden treasure. After Woody arrives, he befriends Angie (Mary-Louise Parker) the camp director, and her daughter, Maggie (Chloe De Los Santos), and causes chaos at the camp. Camp Woo Hoo's other participants are JJ (Savannah La Rain) a video game designer, Orson (George Holahan-Cantwell) a human computer, Gus (Evan Stanhope) a DIY Mech mastermind, Rose (Esther Son) is a writer, and Mikey (Kershawn Theodore) is a nature expert. Inspector Wally Walrus finds the damage done by Woody to the camp (including the recreation room) and issues several citations and violations to Angie, which means fines and expenses to repair the damages. Angie wants Woody out of the camp, but he wont leave unless he gets a team badge. Angie says that Woody will have to earn it.Camp Hoo Rah is led by Angie's cousin Zane (Josh Lawson). Camp Hoo Rah and Woo Hoo are bitter rivals, and compete at the annual Wilderness Games. The 2 camps used to be one under Maggie's grand father Obadiah Mallard. Mallard has a huge statue in the trophy room. Legend has it that Obadiah was a gold prospector who stuck it rich. He bought the camp land and named it camp Obadiah. He wanted his whole family to live and prosper. Obadiah died before his 2 sons could join him, and nobody found the rest of the gold. The 2 sons argued about what to do with the land. One was a soldier and the other was an artist, and they split the camp right down the middle into 2 equal parts. Buzz encourages Zane to create a set of circumstances that forces Angie to shut down Camp Woo Hoo. He says that way Zane can take over both camps and be twice as successful. Secretly, Buzz is working with someone on the outside, and needs access to the entire camp land to dig for their treasure. A delivery man is bringing supplies for Buzz inside the camp, under the garb of food items.Woody gets to know the campers and helps the campers train for an annual camp game event known as the Wilderness Games. Meanwhile, Buzz's makes several failed attempts to destroy camp Woo Hoo. Buzz tries to shoot a capsule of Brazilian ants into Woo Hoo, to destroy the cabins, but Woody unknowingly thwarts him when he throws a tire on Buzz, causing him to shoot the ants on himself. When Buzz tries to yank the foundation from below the mess hall using a powerful magnet, Woody again unknowingly makes him change direction of the magnet (when he drops a climbing board and causes a minor shudder on the ground) and pulling Buzz's own roof down on himself. Next, Buzz tries to fill the lake with raw sewage, but Woody throws an old boot on Buzz, causing the sewage tank to fall on top of Buzz. Woo Hoo create their fortress for the games in which every camper provides their skills to make it impregnable.Woody gets framed for causing chaos again by Buzz. Buzz destroys the recreation room which was originally destroyed by Woody and fixed by Angie. Buzz does this deliberately to get Woody out of the way. Nobody believes Woody when he says that he was framed. Inspector Wally Walrus (Tom Kenny) arrives and threatens to shut down the camp Woo Hoo. Woody convinces the inspector to give the camp one more chance by letting them participate in the Wilderness Games.Camp Woo Hoo has a history of losing endlessly to Camp Hoo Rah, since they are creative artists and the Hoo Rahs are tough soldiers, thus leaving the campers with low self-esteem. However, after taking a few losses (in canoeing, wheelbarrow race, arm wrestling, obstacle course), the Woo Hoos begin to turn their talents into their most effective weapons. They win the obstacle course when JJ imagines it as a video game. Orson wins "Ride the Boar" when he figures out all the angles that allow him to stay on the board for longer than his opponent. Gus wins "throw the potato" by wrapping the potato in a wadding to create a better seal with the cannon. As the Games proceed, Buzz observes with dismay and tries to sabotage Woo Hoo's chances of winning. Mikey loses "Climb the wall" as Buzz had oiled the Woo Hoo section of the wall. Buzz also puts flaming hot sauce in Woo Hoo's pies in the pie eating contest. Rose wins the Ghost story competition despite Buzz's sabotage. Before the final challenge (which is to capture the opponent's flag from their fort), Woody finally discovers Buzz's evil plot to blackmail the Camp Hoo Rah director, Maggie's uncle Zane, into selling him the two camps. Buzz says that Zane has been signing for his deliveries and if exposed, Zane would go straight to jail. Woody gets locked in the freezer, but later gets inadvertently freed by the mailman, who delivers all of Buzz's arsenal shopping. As Woody is about to leave, Buzz catches sight of Woody, and they start to fight again. The campers of Camp Woo Hoo discover that their fort was destroyed, but despite having no fortifications, Maggie manages to hatch a plan that eliminates almost all of the Hoo Rah, leaving only one to defend the flag.Woody is overpowered but manages to fire a flare gun and rallies both camps back to the main grounds, where Woody exposes Buzz's illegal arsenal purchasing and plans to steal the treasure. Orson figures out that Buzz's map is a partial piece of 3 maps made by Obadiah. Zane and Angie had one piece each. Bringing the 3 pieces together show Obadiah's statue as the location of the gold. Buzz traps Woody and the campers in the kitchen, but they manage to escape. The camps then try to save the chest that Buzz has stolen from under Obadiah's statue. Buzz was trying to escape with his cellmate on a helicopter. Maggie's belt gets caught in the chest, which is hauled up by the helicopter. Woody sacrifices his attempt to defeat Buzz and saves Maggie from falling before rendering himself unconscious.Afterwards, the camps reconcile when they discover their statue (made of gold) had been the treasure all along, and Woody is filled with emotion when he discovers he has a long-forgotten ancestor on the land, who was friends with Obadiah. The two camps then unite into one camp, with the name Camp Woo Hoo Rah, and even put Woody on their camp flag. Before Woody flies back to the forest with his newfound redemption (and his teamwork badge), he hugs Maggie goodbye, saying he'll be back the following summer. In a mid-credits scene, after accidentally crash-landing their helicopter upon realizing the chest had nothing but rocks, Buzz and his escaped cellmate find themselves outside a police station, and as Buzz tries to tell his cellmate that the only thing that mattered was that they were free, officers have turned up to re-arrest them for their warrant. | ||
